This is for the little guy. The underdog. The ones everyone said wouldn’t make it. For the human Smart Cars among us: THEY DID IT.
We drove this 17-year-old 0.6L Smart Car 19,897kms from Scotland to Ullan Ude through 24 countries and 6 time zones over 8 weeks. It still hasn’t sunk in yet but WE FINISHED THE MONGOL RALLY 2019.
And we are the only team to finish under our own power in a Smart Car EVER!!!
MVP: my teammate, chief navigator, Co driver, coffee maker, lollies provider and entertainment manager: Rebecca A Cooke 😍
We bloody well did it babe. We knocked the bastard off!
Best. Teammate. Ever. ❤️
Special mention to Pringles who provided essential, life sustaining calories in Kazakhstan. Couldn’t have done it without you.
HUGE THANK YOU to our sponsors for their support and help which we wouldn’t have made it out of the UK without: No Cams, Camplify, Drew Miller, EVRTand Driveline. And to SmartTecnic for all your help, generosity and support.
And a deep, heartfelt thank you and ecstatic high-five to everyone who donated to our fundraising for Chilypep, CoolEarth and I AM HOPE. You are all generous, wonderful humans.
