Driveline Director Paul Tobin explains how you can run a safer fleet for less.
Are you getting headaches looking after your vehicle fleet?
Fleet Management software has become a popular tool with businesses that run multiple vehicles. Even a fleet of 5 vehicles generates a staggering amount of paperwork.
Let’s have a look some of those things…
- WOFs
- COFs
- Running costs
- Service records
- Parking permits
- Fines
- Drivers to manage
ACC Figures from June 2014 to June 2015 showed there were 39,524 active claims for driving related injuries with $224, 373,006 (net) paid out in the same period. Whilst the total claims dropped to 20,641 from July 2016 to June 2017, the total cost increased to $257,748,907.
The problem has always been that traditional fleet management software is expensive and it’s a cost the most small and medium businesses can’t justify. Running a safe fleet is not an easy task, especially if you have different types of vehicles at different. The risks increases dramatically when businesses rely solely on driver solely to take care of the vehicles they drive.
Our SmartFleet system has a lot of the features you’d expect from a top of the line vehicle management system. This includes alerts for when vehicles need attention, mileage tracking and instant reporting for costs and Health and Safety compliance. This information helps you identify cost savings areas, allowing you to know how much money you are really putting into you vehicle fleet. It’s also designed to engage the drivers of each vehicle and help keep them accountable too. One way this is done is through our Walk Around App, which helps drivers identify any problems with the vehicle and get them seen to before they get worse.
It’s simply a more affordable way to manage your vehicles and keep tabs on safety issues.
