I have been driving this new Skoda Karoq for a few days now and every time I get inside this car, I start the engine and instantly it feels like I am floating on the clouds and the car just takes me where I want to go. Amazing ride!
The interior design has that expensive feeling soft-touch plastics used for the top half of the dash and the doors, and although the lower half of the dashboard’s plastic isn’t soft, they don’t feel cheap at all. While nifty functions like its swipe left and right action gesture control system aid in making the infotainment system even easier to navigate with its 8-inch touchable screen. The decorating strips in the front and rear doors and the foot areas can be fitted with ambient LED lighting system. You can change the lighting depending on your mood that day, control the brightness as well as the colour of the light emitter: Cool White, Fire Orange, Cinnamon, RS Red, Pink, Purple, Dusk Blue, Azure, Green, Acid ŠKODA Green.
The legroom in the back is very spacious and the headroom to make any tall person feel comfortable. The back seats can even move forward and backward giving you either more room in the boot or more legroom and if you need more space the back seats can easily be removed completely. Now the front seats are both fully adjustable so we reckon you should have no issues getting comfortable, whatever your build. This includes seat height and lumbar adjustment on all trims, and plenty of variance to the steering wheel’s height and reach.
When I picked up the Karoq I briefly had a look at the Kodiak and noticed the ingenious mechanical door protectors and I can’t wait to test that beast and show you all his hidden secrets as well.
Watch this space….
The suspension on the Karoq is made for all terrains, giving you that smooth ride that will be judged by any driver. Whether you want to go on the construction site, drive to the beach, driving around in the CBD it’s ready for where you want to take this Karoq.
So, take it and go.
